To: All NR&GC Members.

 

The NR&GC CMP program will start on the 1st of April at 5:30 PM at the outdoor range with the 200-yard slow fire offhand/standing stage of fire. The program will be held every Wednesday evening at 5:30 PM until the 30th of September. The last Sunday of every month April –September will be 800 point NRA approved match, which qualifies shooters for NRA classification. Note: Exceptions are April 26th is a 200 yd practice team match & July 26th a CMP leg fun match & September 27th end of year 200 yd fun match. All NRA 800 point approved matches & fun matches Start at 8:00 AM and ends about 3:00pm. The Vietnam match is June 13th/Classic Battle Rifle match August 29th/Lord Roberts/Bob Tuley match September 12th flyers will be on the club Web-site at www.nragc.com

 

There will be a range preparation night Wednesday March 25th from 5:00pm. To 7:00pm. Place the indoor range. This entails re-facing the High Power Rifle Targets for the start of the New Year and getting the target butts pasties & spotter ammo. Cans in order. Any help during this evening would be very much appreciated. Also a great time for new shooters to ask questions and get to know more about the CMP program and how every thing works.

 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18TH, 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, M-16/AR-15 WEAPONS CLEANING COURSE AT THE INDOOR RANGE'S COMMON AREA, WILL COVER M-14/ M1A1-M1 GARAND ALSO IF NEEDED. INFO: Robert Bachman at 442-0061.

 

On Saturday March 21st beginning at 10:00 am. We will hold the 9TH annual High Power Rifle Clinic at the out door High Power Rifle Range. This will cover the following areas, firing line and target-pit safety, courses of fire, shooting positions and their techniques, scoring and marking of targets, recommended equipment and exterior bullet ballistics. Each shooter will fire 40 rounds from the 200 yard line & learn how to physically pull and mark targets quickly and accurately during live firing just as it happens in practice or match conditions. The club will have AR-15 match rifles to use also club M1 rifles if you don't have a rifle. Ammunition will be made available to purchase at $9.00 for 50 rounds of 5.56mm X45 M193 / .223 REM. Or $15.00 for 50 rounds of .30 cal. M2 ball in 20 rd boxes.                                                                                                                                                                                     Range Fees are $2.00 for members, $1.00 for Jr. (under 21) & Senior (60+), Guest $4.00, Non-members $10.00, NRA 800pt. 200yd. SLOW FIRE 2 sighting and 20 shots for score, standing/offhand, 22 minutes.

200yd. RAPID FIRE 2 sighting in 2 minutes slow fire; 3 X 10 shot strings, 60 seconds each, sitting or kneeling from standing.

300yd. RAPID FIRE 2 sighting in 2 minutes slow fire; 3 X 10 shot strings, 70 seconds each, prone from standing.

600yd. SLOW FIRE 2 sighting and 20 shots for score, prone 22 minutes.

 

The club has 4 M1 rifles for members to check out for use in the CMP program, 2 standard & 2 national match. 6 CMP Match AR-15 Bushmaster rifles, 2 CMP Match AR-15 rifles for junior members use.
