The Indoor range needs some maintenance and will need to be closed until completed.
This does not effect the outdoor range.
NRAGC Board of Directors
Scott has moved out of State and had to step down as board president. Per the bylaws Dean Barton assumes the duties of president.
We would like to thank Scott for all his hard work over the years.
Check out the new Board members on the BOD page.
Do not shoot the plate racks with rifle calibers. Only use pistol calibers as rifle calibers destroy the plate racks. If this continues we will remove the plate racks for, general member use. If you see someone shooting a rifle caliber at the plate rack note the date and time and inform a board member, we will get all the folks on the range at that time so we can deal with the situation.
Note the damage to the plate rack this is no longer usable and will need repair.
The new electronic gate is operational. Remember your card to get into the outdoor range.
If you hold a 2016 gate key and ID card you are a current member of the club.
DO NOT fill out an online application. The date for renewal is CONFIRMED FOR
Jan 7th and 8th 2017 starting at 9:00 am. This is the same time as the gun show but may change without notice so check back here prior to the 7th. Your current gate key will work until after Jan 1. Retain your current 2016 gate key until further notice. I DO NOT HAVE SPARES IF YOU ACCIDENTALY DISCARD YOUR KEY. Bring your 2016 ID card with you to renew.
We will be going to a new gate system in the 2017. The electronic gate is not operational at this time. We anticipate this to be soon but cannot set a date. At renewal you will be issued a new electronic gate key. There will be a $10 refundable deposit per key for all members INCLUDING life members.
However we will use the chain and your current key until such time the electronic gate is operational.
Bottom line is you will get a new key which is not yet active and you will still use your current key until further notice. Hence why I say retain your current key!!
There will be a time when you go to the range and there won’t be a chain any longer. Then you will use your new electronic key. So keep both with you at all times. If you don’t have a electronic key because you have not yet renewed you are locked out. Contact the Membership Sec to renew.
Obviously it would benefit members to attend the Gun Show renewal period or make other arrangements.

We are installing a new gate, this gate will have a key card that will allow the club to know who enters and exits the range,we as the board will be able to track range usage. This will allow use to determine where to set the membership numbers in the future to ensure our members get a great experience at the NRAGC outdoor range.
As a board we are looking at ways to make the range better. We are looking at new range improvements including improving the road, adding additional pits and adding security cameras.
We are in the process of installing an automatic gate. We will need to close the range down one day in October to pave the entrance. I will put the date the range will be closed on the calendar as soon as we know.
Did you know that the practical pistol shooting sports are alive and well in the Treasure Valley with three active clubs in Nampa, Emmett, and Parma? We shoot USPSA and IDPA matches locally every month. Download the Competitive Shooting Flyer for more information.

The well on the range has been tested and the water is potable. Throughout the spring and summer we will leave the pump on so you get water at the range. Please make sure you turn it off when you are done.
